Gifts Extras Boost Sales Prices

This week I have been reviewing some new artwork and icon designs for our website and this one caught my eye. I have noticed a growing trend for some gift e-commerce websites to promoting themselves as having the ‘lowest prices on the web’. Sure when you compare their product unit prices they can sometimes be cheaper but they then apply what I call the ‘Amazon’ approach to pricing. When you add in the extras for origination, artwork generation and even a charge for placing your order on-line and delivery, you end up paying a far higher net total for your goods. I just hope that such pricing strategies do not catch out too many people, especially organisations with limited funds and budgets (such as charities and clubs) who may get sucked in. Dodgy stuff guys so beware.
